Singing Workshops

Eleanor Gregory is Percussion4U's principal associate singing tutor.

Eleanor is a music graduate of the University of Manchester, and works as a professional singer and teacher in the Manchester area. She sings regularly for BBC radio 4 and has toured Europe with choirs based in London, Oxford and Manchester.

She currently teaches in primary and secondary schools. She has trained with the Educational company ARTIS, which specialises in holistic musicianship that combines movement, drama and music into a creative experience very different from the traditional separation of these disciplines. She has devised and delivered successful workshops on Opera to secondary schools, which combined an interactive singing workshop with an opportunity to see the opera performed at the RNCM.

Eleanor delivers sessions on using the voice expressively to convey drama, combining body percussion and movement with song and encouraging confidence in performing with the voice, even in those with very little experience in singing. She teaches from a background of classical training, encouraging healthy use of the voice, and delivers sessions on choral singing for voices of all ages. Eleanor has extensive experience of performing in musical theatre as well as sacred and secular choral singing, and also offers workshops on music theatre singing.
