TIMBA - CONICAL HAND DRUM

A fairly recent addition to Samba. Much used in Samba Reggae, these light, conical drums often take a pattern not dissimilar to Djembe patterns. Between 50cm and 90cm in length, they can be tuned highly and are very light to carry. A Timbala is a cross between a conga and a Timba. This makes and excellent beginners conga and works really well in drum circles.
